Overview

Word Hunter and Word Hunter Pocket are local-first language learning apps. The apps do not require an account and do not run a Word Hunter cloud service.

Data Stored On Your Device

The apps store your books, imported texts, vocabulary, translations, notes, review history, settings, and reading progress locally on your device.

Sync And Backups

If you enable folder sync or export a backup, your data is copied to the folder or storage provider you choose. Word Hunter does not control that provider. Review the privacy terms of services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Syncthing, or any other folder you choose.

Optional Online Features

Some features contact third-party services only when you use them. These can include public catalog search, online dictionaries, online translation, image search, text-to-speech providers, YouTube subtitle import, or web article import. The text, word, query, or URL needed for that feature may be sent to the selected service.

Advertising And Tracking

Word Hunter does not include advertising SDKs and does not use analytics or telemetry SDKs.

Children

Word Hunter is a general language-learning tool and is not directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete app data from the app settings, remove imported books and vocabulary inside the app, delete local data folders, or uninstall the app. If you used folder sync, also delete any copies from the sync folder or cloud provider you selected.
